In The Wall, American soldiers Sergeant Allen Isaac (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Staff Sergeant Shane Matthews (John Cena) are tasked with investigating the site of a pipeline construction in Iraq. The soldiers surveil the site for 22 hours in a safe spot and, after witnessing no movement whatsoever, deem the area safe. But when Matthews approaches the area, he soon learns that something is just not right.
Matthews is shot which leads Isaac to rush to his side and into the additional incoming gunfire. Isaac is wounded and his radio is damaged which leads Isaac to take cover behind a crumbling brick wall. As he radios for help, Isaac learns that the voice on the other end of the radio is not an American, rather the sniper (Laith Nakli) that has been shooting at them. This leads to an epic standoff between both sides with the only sure way out being death.
